About the Journal

Focus and Scope

REIDICS is a research journal published by the University Association of Social Sciences Education Professors (Asociación Universitaria de Profesorado de Didáctica de las Ciencias Sociales – AUPDCS) and sponsored by the University of Extremadura (Universidad de Extremadura – UEX), with a biannual publication schedule (September and March).

The primary aim of the journal is to foster open discussion in Social Sciences Education. It seeks to disseminate research works recognised for their scientific rigour and critical analysis, particularly in our core research areas: teacher training, curriculum development, and educational innovation, addressing the challenges of teaching and learning social disciplines in school settings. University educators, teachers from other educational stages, and early-career researchers are invited to contribute.

Audience

Teachers and researchers from the entire scientific community of Social Sciences Education and other fields within Educational Sciences. Teachers from all educational stages, particularly in Social Sciences.

Languages of Publication

Submissions are accepted in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian, and French.

Publication Frequency

REIDICS is a scientific journal published biannually in digital format since 2017.

Once texts have successfully passed the double-blind peer review process, they are published in the strict order of acceptance.
